That Lovely 2008

What can I say....???
This was the BEST FUCKING YEAR OF MY LIFE!!!
I really love being 16.....only good things have happened since I turned 16, nothing like my horrible 15......
First, the emo-ness of the first semester is gone, no more really deppressed feelings, not that much crying, no more feeling of emptyness, no more of that feeling of "I'm wasting my life", NO MORE DRAMA!
Second, this year I made a lot of lovely new friends, some thanks to Queen, some through my other friends and also I got to know better people that I had known, like, forever, but I hadn't had the chance to know them more carefully.
Third. ROCK BABEHHH!!! FUCKING ROCK N' ROLL!!!
I really think rock music saved my life, especially that amazing band Poison.
Because, while I was at my worst moment and feeling like shit, the only thing that made me feel better was listening to music. And hopefully, in that moment of my life, I discovered Poison and the wonderful world of glam metal. Yeah, big hair, flamboyant outfits, catchy songs, slutty groupies....That always got a smile on my face.
+ I discovered so many great bands: Alice Cooper, Mötley Crüe, LA Guns, Iron Butterfly, Skid Row, AC/DC, Yngwie Malmsteen, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and of especially, my beloved HANOI ROCKS!
Also I started to listen more carefully to my old bands: Van Halen, KISS, Bon Jovi, Metallica, etc...
SO DON'T YOU DARE TALK CRAP ABOUT MY BELOVED GLAM METAL!
Fourth: I got to know better my artistic side, I started doing portatraits of real people and using more colours and stuff on my drawings (I draw a lot in fact, but I'm to lazy to post my stuff on DA, plus, my scanner died)
Also I met more people who liked drawing as much as me, and that helped a lot. I won confidence and I'm also a more determined person now. I'm not ashamed anymore to show the world the things I like.
HUGE STORY AHEAD, BEWARE! FULL OF FANATISM AND QUEEN....YEAH FULL OF QUEEN!

Fifth: THE QUEEN + PR CONCERT. Also known as THE BEST FREAKIN' DAY OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!
A short summary of what it was:
Sunday 11/16: I saw for the first time with my own eyes the most beautiful man on earth also known as Brian May. I first saw him walking towards the elevator of the hotel, and I only could see his back, his black pants and his wonderful hair.
We also saw Roger, and he said hello to us and waved his hand, but didn't come out of the hotel, nice guy anyway.
We saw Spike and Danny Miranda too, when the were entering the hotel.
My parents forced me to go home at 00:30 AM, so I had to leave.....just to know at the next day that my friends had met Dr. Bri....JUST 15 MINUTES AFTER I LEFT!!! I wanna kill myself!!!
Monday 11/17: This day I had to go to school, and I had the biggest spanish exam on the year...but I didn't give a damn. I've got good grades so I wasn't worried. Also...I had a HUGE, HUGE headache that day because I hadn't had a good sleep, and because on Sunday, before going to see my lovies at their hotel I had been crying and letting all my stress go away. (In my school November is the tougthest month in the whole year, everyone almost ends crazy)
Back to Queen, in the evening I ran to the hotel, but nothing really fantastic happened. I just saw Roger walking a few times, but he was inside the hotel... so it wasn't that cool.
I also got some stuff singed by Spike, that nice guy! The cool thing about this day was meeting new people, and of course, talking about the lovely Queen guys, singing almost unknown Queen songs, doing trivia, showing and seeing rare Queen material, etc.
Tuesday 11/ 18:My mother forced me to go to school.....damn her....When I arrived at the hotel, my friends told me Roger had come out, said hello to the fans, took a some pictures and singned some stuff in the morning...If I had just skipped school. Also, some lucky ones had met Paul. Plus, my friends all appeared on television. And that was what happened. I met a lot of new people too. Some who I am really good friends with right now.
Just one day left for the concert...and I hadn't seen much of the guys, even though I had been waiting hours outside the hotel.
I went all the days and nothing....And some other people just went one day and met them all.....I was so damn jealous and felt horrible...I was just hating my luck....
Plus, when I arrived home, I asked my mother if I could skip school, because, my last chance was of meeting them was the next day. And of course she told me I coudn't.
Guess what I did....Obviously I could not handle the situation anymore and I started crying and yelling stuff, because no one was going to take away my chance of meeting Brian and the boys!
After a huge argument, where my sister had to help me, I came out victorious.
And I have to tell you, I had not been that happy in a huge while (with the exception of the first time I saw Brian)
I went to sleep smiling, just waiting for the great day to come.
Wednesday 11/19: Q-DAY!!!! At last!!! The moment I had been waiting for so long....
I rushed to the hotel, and like at 11 am Spike, Danny and Jamie Moses came out, and started saying hello to us, sining our stuff and posing for pisture with us. The were so sweet, incredibly nice and they are really fun to talk too. I was lucky there, because I was one of the few who knew english there, so I could have a conversation with them.
I just have to admit here I LOVE JAMIE MOSES!!! That sweetie started talking to me about the weather and how a beautiful country Chile is...I just wanted to give him a hug. (And when we got our picture taken, he hugged me...and I didn't wash my hair in a week, all because a rockstar like him had touched it. Also I didn't wash my Queen shirt in a month, but I didn't wear it after the concert, I just left it on my room, smelled it and said something like "Rockstar scent" or stuff like that.)
I got my Jazz and Hot Space CDs signed by them.
Then to our surprise, Roger came out! He started waving his hands and saying hello, then he got into his car, and he was taken to the stadium.
Next, Paul came out, said hello and got into his car too.
I knew the love of my life (aka Bri) was going to come out sooner or later....so I was so damn nervous, my hands were soaked in sweat (ewww) and my knees were shaking.
After a while, he came out and greeted us. He must be the cutest, sweetest, loveliest man in the earth. I'm not exagerating!
He is as nice as you've always thought he was, or even more. And he is tall, really tall.
Then he aproached his car, and we all started singing the epic 39'. Brian looked at us with a big smile on his face, I think he was so pleased and overwhelmed. There was so much love in that moment, then he said something to us and got into the car. He was smiling, waving his hands ans looking at us all the time.

After that incredible thing, I went home, had some lunch and got ready for the concert.
I arrived at the San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium, like 3 hours before the concert.
I went in and saw a lot of friends inside. We were all so exited and could wait even one second more.
I had a really expensive ticket, so I was quite close and could see without any problem. I was on the first row of the second section.
But suddenly, a friend comes near me , puts his ticket in my hand and says "Hey, thanks for giving me a ride. Now come here." I look and it it his ticket for the first section, yeah, the most expensive one.
So I was a bad girl that night and got in that section, always with the fear that I could have been caught. But I didn't care, I wanted to see the guys as near as posible. So I ended up in the front row. The best thing ever. The only bad thing....there was a security guard right in front of me. Hopefully security guards never suspect of 16 year olds who are alone at a concert looking all inocent and just being quiet, waiting till te concert begins.
Then another guard came and started telling everyone to go to their seats, and....I hadn't got a seat....what the heck was I supposed to do...I just wanted the concert to start!!!
Hopefully, no one went to their seats, so I stayed in the fron row.
Suddenlly thunders and stuff start appearing in the screen...and well...my life has been saved, and I'm ready to enjoy the best moment of my life!
I think I've never shouted as much as I did that night.
In fact, while Brian was playing his solo during Tie Your Mother Down, Paul was right in frot of me, only 1,5 meters or less separated us. I screamed like I never had, it was so damn loud, screechy and weird that Paul started laughting at me, pointed me while laughting, then looked at me and smiled, what a nice guy!
Other memorable moments were when Jamie saw me and recognised me, the girl he had been talking to only a few hour ago, looked at me, smiled and started headbanging while playing his guitar, then looked at me with a "hey! do it too!" expression. I did it too and he laughted and smiled. Man, I love him! He did it a lot of times and in several songs.
We're best friends now....uhm well no, but I wish we were, he is such a fun guy!
Another cool moment: When Brian said the best phrase ever: Como esta el webeo Chile??? (It's like saying "who is it going??", but webeo is a chilean swear word) nad then he said in spanish "but I won't say it again"...because he knew it was a bad word and Brian's so cute and perfect....I really wanted to jump on the stage and hug him and kiss him there....and then he started singing love of my life. And he said "Let's sing for our friend Freddie Mercury" and we were all crying and shouting "Freddie, Freddie!"
Moving onto other songs, I cried at Bijou....and I really enjoyed the beautiful Last Horizon, seeing that amazing man playing his guitar so near me....I nearly fainted....
I also cried as soon as I heard the first note of The show must go on, it was like my emotional climax there...I could only think about Freddie.
And of course it was the best thing ever to clap our hands like in the Radio Ga Ga video. Of the fact that everyone knew the lyrics and singed along with Brian at 39', since it's not a well known song.
Seeing the Freddie, John and the early days pictures on the operatic part of BoRhap. In that part I felt that I really missed Deaky playing along with the guys....
We will Rock you.....amazing + Brian wearing a shirt with the Chile flag on it...!, and We are the champions, I'm out of words.....all the people united and singing.....well, that's the power of Rock N' Roll!
Of course I didn't want them to leave....but they had to.... Roger threw his drumsticks....but they fell too far away from me. And I think no one catched Brian sixpences. What a shame.
After that...I can die in peace...
If fact, the next day, and even now, I feel peaceful, relaxed and completely pleased. I feel like I don't lack anything, I found some peace of mind, I feel so damn GREAT!!! THANK QUEEN!!!
I couldn't believe it, I was living a dream. And I still think it was too perfect to be true.
